Land-based teachings always have this perspective, and we see evidence of it right now all over: the cyclone in Burma/Myanmar, the volcano in Chile & the Chinese earthquake, all within a very short time span. These so called natural disasters show us the power of the elements, air & water, fire, and earth respectively. Rather than work harmoniously with the 4 elements, we've attempted to dominate & it hasn't worked. The Earth is a great teacher in many ways. One way is how truth is exposed that may have gone unnoticed. In the case of Myanmar, many hard truths have been exposed. This happened after hurricane Katrina too. After hurricane Andrew in South Florida, building codes were changed & shoddy construction was exposed. Hopefully these other disaster will lead to positive changes. Yes beautiful & full of wisdom.
